Woohoo, 58 miles today, off to a great start. Today the scenery was beautiful, but the hills were not! The temperature reached nearly 100 degrees today, which did not make anything easier. I found a great BBQ place in Christiansbur, VA, called Due South. Absolutely fantastic mid-ride late lunch. I am spending the nigth at the local Radford Super 8, with three other bicycle tourists. Leah and Brian are from Charlottesville, VA, and Dan is from Philadelphia. We are trying to decide whether to get pizza or Chinese for dinner? Oh what a dilemma... I am not sure what is on tap for tomorrow, but I would assume that it will be a bit shorter than today. I was able to take a few pictures today. See below! Peace out!

Francis, So thrilled to see this great adventure and since Blogging is your Grandma Joanne's method of up-dating, glad you are following in her footsteps. With your parents support, I say go ahead and do it-just not as many miles/day. take time to "smell the roses" and be safe. Will be following your posts whenever I can.
