Summer Plans 2018
Hello followers, as I’m writing, I am in the Western Reserve Historical Society, doing “research” for our final Economy project. The school year has gone by in a blur! I can’t believe that I am almost 50% done with my high school career. It is both nerve wracking and exciting, but more on that later! As per usual, it would appear that my summer will be overflowing plentifully with activities, fun, and work. The purpose of this post is to update you on those plans. In a little over a week, I’m planning on heading to the New River Gorge for about a week. It will be Metres ting, this will be the first year I will have a car. In a sense, I feel this delegitimizes the social experiment that I’ve been playing with so nicely for the last three years. Conversely, I also feel a sense of graduation and “earning” The newfound ease that having a vehicle will bring. After that, I will be taking a 3 week US history class at Hawken. It’s only a few hours a day, and is a good reason to stay in Cleveland for an extended time period. I am taking the class due to a fairly unique schedule I’ve made for myself next school year, but more on that in another post too. For the main event, in July, I’m thrilled to announce another bike trip! This time I’m hoping to complete a segment of the Northern Tier route. This segment will take me from Acadia National Park in Maine, hopefully all the way back to Cleveland. I’m super pumped because this will provide a great opportunity to see Maine (never been) as well as New Hampshire and Vermont. That is definitely the “main” event of the summer. Some piddling about in August; a trip to Asheville and maybe another week or so in West Virginia, then it’s back to school! I will write updates over the summer as well and no promises, but perhaps a daily update on the biking trip. Until then, peace!
